Financial Assistance
JF&CS responds to community needs in a multitude of ways. One of the ways is through our emergency assistance program. The mission of the program is to help people in economic crisis help themselves.
They help low-income people meet basic needs and remove barriers to justice by providing legal aid.
The Midtown Assistance Center empowers our neighbors by providing rent and utility assistance. They provide both financial and non-financial assistance.
FACAA has programs to help families pay their heat and water bills in addition to Community Service Block Grants that provide emergency assistance to low-income individuals.

Each day throughout Metro Atlanta, The Salvation Army Financial Emergency Services Centers provide emergency and
life-sustaining assistance with food, clothing, rent/mortgage, utilities, school supplies and furniture to individuals and families facing a financial crisis.

Affordable Housing
Through its various housing solutions and programs, AH is able to meet a broad spectrum of housing needs for low-income families, including at-risk populations, in the city of Atlanta. Housing includes single-family homes and multi-family condominiums and apartments.

Offers various affordable housing programs and resources. They administer programs such as the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program and the Georgia Dream Homeownership Program.
The cornerstone of our Housing Services program is our shelter for homeless families with newborns. Located in the City of Atlanta, the shelter provides homeless families with up to six months of housing in a safe and caring environment.
We provide new pajamas and storybooks, sleep health education, and caring connections to ensure that children facing adversities—including low family income, housing insecurity, and family instability—have the tools they need for better bedtimes.

The Fulton County Library System serves Fulton County and the City of Atlanta (including the portion of the city in DeKalb County). It is the largest in the state, with 34 libraries. Children, teens, and adults may choose from a variety of classes, visit exhibitions, listen to authors discuss their work, check out videos, DVDs, and CDs, attend book club discussions, get homework help, hear music and see live performances.

Breakthrough Atlanta provides a six-year, tuition-free, year-round program that provides a pathway to college for Atlanta’s middle and high school students. Our goals are to ensure our students are academically on track for high school and college.
United Way of Greater Atlanta serves thirteen counties in the Atlanta metro area. They provide programs focused on
