From assisting in computer refurbishment and computer adoption sessions, to helping with a special event or volunteering in our office, Comp-U-Dopt offers many ways to get involved. Volunteers
We have a growing list of volunteers that continue to give their time and energy to the organization. There are so many different areas where they can make a difference. Since the need for computers is increasing we need all the help we can get. Refurbishing and preparing the computers for the children is a time consuming task. We have a loyal group that devote their time to this process. If we didn't have them, we would not be able to provide computers to so many children. The volunteers are also behind why we have such a long waiting list of children. We have volunteers collecting addresses from interested families so we can send out applications. Alison Prator and her fluent Spanish speaking have been a big help in this area. We are also thankful for the individuals who spend their Saturday mornings at the adoption sessions helping the children follow along with the lesson and then distributing the computers to the families. Comp-U-Dopt would not be able to grow without the multiple hours our volunteers give to us. Thank you for all of your hard work! |

Assist At An Adoption Session
If you are interested in assisting at an adoption session, we meet at our warehouse 1 1/2 hours before the scheduled adoption session in order to load the trailer with materials, allow travel time to the adoption location and set up. If you are a new volunteer, we require that you attend a training session prior to your first adoption session.

Office Volunteer
You can volunteer at the Comp-U-Dopt office by assisting with a variety of administrative tasks. Office volunteers help keep our administrative costs down and help ensure that the Comp-U-Dopt's resources can be dedicated to helping the children we serve.
